Fireballs, Asteroids and CME's, oh my!
Space is a treacherous place for earth and all planetary bodies. It's like a game of Russian Roulette out there. Spheres of rock, ice and other matter rotate either spherically or cylindrically in orbits around the solar system intersecting with one another or having close encounters. The points of intersection at times are numerous. Who knows when one of these space rocks will veer slightly from its course due to gravitational pull of another planet or from influence caused by a solar flare.
